According to National Geographic Magazine, this river is considered one of the best rivers for whitewater rafting.

It is located in the Atlantic slope, bordering the Talamanca range. Lush vegetation, a wide variety of wildlife (such as jaguars, monkeys, sloth’s, ocelots, and a diversity of birds), waterfalls, pools, and a pristine rainforest are found along its course.
