New River Rafting in West Virginia

The New River in West Virginia is the second oldest river in the world and resides deep within the New River Gorge, the "Grand Canyon of the East".

The New River offers a variety of whitewater rafting trips for both experienced and novice rafters. The Lower New River contains huge rapids, huge boulders and awesome scenery. Runnable from March to October the Lower New is an outstanding rafting trip for both beginners and experts. Lower New River rafting trips contain many Class III-V rapids and concludes below the incredible New River Gorge Bridge, home of Bridge Day.

The Upper and Middle New Rivers combine incredible scenery and playful rapids to make an outstanding section of whitewater for children, families and first-time rafters. Many outfitters also run 'duckie' trips on the Upper and Middle New River.
