Dead River Rafting
With more continuous white water than any other river in the East, white water rafting on the Dead River always provides unparralleled action.
On this heartpounding wilderness adventure, you will raft 15 miles of turbulent waves and Class III-V white water from Grand Falls to the confluence with the Kennebec River at The Forks.
The Minefield, Humpty Dumpty, Elephant Rock, and Popular Hill Falls are just a few of the rapids that have helped the Dead River earn a unique reputation among white water rafting fans.
Minimum age is 15 years old. Only about a dozen highwater rafting releases are scheduled from Flagstaff Lake each season, from early May to early October.
